The Patio Challenge

Episode-10-season-2

This week on Win A Home – The Design Edition – brought to you by Private Property in proud association with Nedbank, our design teams are tasked with decorating their patios. If decorated carefully this space can become a fabulous selling point for any home, whatever the weather however, they also have the potential to become an unpractical design disaster!

Last week our contestants decorated their kitchens and team DeTale's champion Jacoline's was judged the best, her second win in a row, while Bespoke's champion, Zimkita came last. In addition to the main challenge, the members of BluPrint were given the individual challenge of presenting another kitchen design to our judges. This extra task saw Sifiso come out on top and get awarded immunity before BluPrint had to vote out one of their team members and, sadly, it turned out to be the end of the road for Rochelle.

Now, the remaining contestants all fighting for the R100 000 prize are; Jacoline from DeTale; Wanga and Sifiso from BluPrint and Zimkita from Bespoke - but when all is said and done there can only be one winner!

This week the top 4 are tasked with designing and decorating their patio areas. With a budget of R25 000 will the teams get carried away or will they pick practical solutions that will work come rain or shine?

This week’s judges are: interior designer architect Maira Koutsoudakis, Private Property's CEO Simon Bray and Anne Roselt, Plascon's colour expert.
Maira is the founder and face of the internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning brand; LIFE, which encompasses not only international interiors, eco architecture and creative direction but now also a growing restaurant empire.

Wanga and Sifiso have to compete in their final individual challenge - creating a Private Property listing that markets their unit online. Besides a well written introduction and photos, the listing also requires renders of the design plans for the rest of the rooms. Who will create the perfect listing and whose time on Win A Home is over?

With creativity clashes, time pressure and the search for the ultimate braai this week's episode is sure to have you on the edge of your seat!

Remember you have until 1st November 2015 to enter our incredible competition!
